TheLeapers QD Sub-compact LED is a compact tactical flashlight with 120 lumens output designed for mounting on a weapon, equipped with a laser target indicator and a detachable gel switch.
The body of the device is made of aircraft-grade aluminum subjected to a hard anodizing process, which provides maximum resistance to scratches and abrasions. The flashlight can be mounted on both short and long weapons equipped with a Picatinny rail.
The flashlight uses a Cree IRB LED and a smooth reflector to provide a concentrated light output of 120 lumens, with a working range of about 30 meters. The flashlight is also equipped with a Class 3R laser target pointer with a power of 2.5-3.1 mw.
It is adjustable over a range of 80 cm/ 10 m using two steel screws. The marker emits a beam of red light with a wavelength of 630-640 nm and provides a range of about up to 500 m.
Strength and recoil resistance are guaranteed by the True Strength Smart Spherical Structure (TSSS) base based on two return springs. Such a structure causes the laser pointer to securely and precisely hold zero vertically and horizontally. The low-profile design of the laser marker, allows it to be mounted very close to the axis of the barrel, which increases the accuracy of the settings.
Among the undoubted advantages of this device is the ease and comfort of its operation. Separate switches for the flashlight and laser are embedded in the vertical axis, so the device can be comfortably operated with the right and left hand. The kit also includes a remote gel switch plugged into a port masked with a waterproof plug.
The Leapers QD Sub-compact LED uses an innovative 3-position switch responsible for operating the following modes:
- flashlight and laser marker activation
- activation of the gel switch
- complete shutdown of the device
The device is powered by a CR2 battery, which provides up to 45 minutes of laser or flashlight operation.
