The main feature of a good military backpack is its durability. A military backpack should be made of waterproof material resistant to wear and abrasion. Most modern military backpacks are compatible with the MOLLE system, which allows you to trounce additional pockets, pouches, etc. The choice of capacity depends mainly on the form and intensity of the activity you want to do. For a 2-day field trip, a 25-30 liter backpack will suffice. A large 65-liter military backpack, sewn from cordura, weighs 3000 g. A smaller 35-liter backpack, such as the Wisport Whisler II, weighs much less - only 1750 g. The best choice of a military backpack will be one that is durable and at the same time relatively lightweight.
