Smith&Wesson Governor is a massive revolver, created for self-defense and combat shooting. The weapon is designed to shoot 3 types of ammunition: revolver .45 Colt, hunting .410 and pistol .45 ACP. Thanks to such functionality, the Governor in America is eagerly used by hunters and survivalists for defense against aggressive animals, as well as people looking for a reliable weapon for personal protection.

Construction

The barrel and barrel are stainless steel, while the frame was created from Skandu, an aluminum alloy with increased strength and resistance to use conditions. The 2.75" (69mm) long barrel is made of high-grade steel.

The revolver has an SA/DA trigger mechanism and a cocked impact mechanism with an external cock. The trigger weight when shooting with the cocking cock tight (SA) is about 1,800 g, shooting with the DA self cocking, the trigger resistance increases to 5 kg.

The Smith&Wesson Governor uses an elongated six-chamber barrel, which allows shooting .410 hunting ammunition with a length of 2.5 inches, The barrel has a central star discharger. Releasing the barrel from the catch is done by a lever located on the left side of the frame. From the factory, the revolver is equipped with fixed sighting instruments with tritium markers. Profiled Combat liners made of hardened rubber are responsible for the comfort of shooting and control of the weapon.
