Taurus TX22 - tactical side-firing pistol
The TX22 is a lightweight cockless pistol (only 420 g) with a flail trigger mechanism that combines the features of a combat pistol with a sporting .22 LR caliber.
The pistol has a polymer frame with a textured grip and a high undercut spur, a roomy bail and a short rail on which we can mount shooting accessories of our choice. With a medium-aggressive textured grip and a well-chosen handle angle, the ergonomics of the pistol can be compared to popular centerfire pistols. On the aluminum alloy breech, slanted frets were made (on the front and rear of the breech), which allow the gun to be reloaded using a method according to the shooter's preference. For aiming, mechanical aiming instruments (the sights are adjustable in both planes) with dot markings have been used. Partial disassembly of the gun is as simple as in a centerfire weapon and does not require the use of any tools. This affects the ease and exceptional comfort of cleaning the weapon.
Capacious 16-round magazine
The element that sets the TX22 apart from other side-firing pistols is, of course, the capacious magazine that holds as many as 16 rounds. Following the pattern of combat pistols, cutouts have been used at the charging socket to facilitate magazine replacement or emergency removal. The kit comes with 2 metal magazines.
Sporting trigger
The pistol uses the Performance Trigger System (PTS) single-action trigger mechanism , which is characterized by excellent feel, short reset and low resistance. It is these features that make the pistol suitable for sport shooting right out of the box, without the need for expensive modifications. The gun uses 2 saf eties in the form of a double-sided wing fuse and an internal trigger lock.
