TheHS SF19 5.25" cal. 9x19 is a modernized and improved version of the popular XDM pistol, featuring a new trigger mechanism, double-sided manipulatorsand a funnel for easy magazine replacement.
The XDM series pistols have been a huge success in Poland and abroad thanks to their affordable prices, high quality finish and the use of modern design solutions.
However, the Croatian manufacturer HS Produkt has not settled on its laurels and, after nearly 10 years on the market, has introduced a new series of cockless pistols to replace the XDM line with dignity.
Modern shrink-free
TheSF19 5.25" is a full-size semi-auto pistol, equipped with a flail-action striker-fired mechanism, an upgraded short reset trigger mechanism, a cartridge indicator in the chamber and a grip safety.
Modernized trigger mechanism
The component that received the most attention from the manufacturer was the trigger mechanism. The system was designed from scratch and used as many as 11 new parts. The result of this work was a smoothly functioning trigger mechanism with a short reset, low resistance and virtually zero idle movement.
The SF19 pistol has a 5.25" long precision chrome Match barrel, which allows for tight focus on the target.
Ergonomics
The SF19 pistol has a high-cut grip with a perfect angle, which contributes to comfort, grip stability and great gun control. Aggressive texturing and interchangeable rear grip pads ensure high grip, and the ability to adjust the grip to the shooter's hand.
The modern character of the weapon is perfectly emphasized by the double-sided manipulators. As a result, the magazine latch and the breech drop can be intuitively operated by right- and left-handed people, depending on their preference and form of shooting.
The lightweight lock (with porting) has ribbing in the front and rear, allowing the shooter to reload and check the weapon according to his preference.
There is a short accessory rail at the front of the frame , which allows mounting a MantisX training system, tactical flashlight or weight.
Safety and reliability
The HS SF19 uses az 3 safety features: a trigger safety, a grip safety and an automatic firing pin lock, so the gun can be carried safely with a cartridge in the chamber. An additional safety feature is an indicator of the presence of a cartridge in the chamber.
The reliability of the HS pistols has been confirmed by successful tests carried out during the French Army's pistol tender, including shooting at -35°C and shooting directly after removal from water.
Adjustable sighting instruments
TheHS SF19 has an adjustable pincer and fiber-optic musket, so it can be successfully used for target and dynamic shooting.
Capacious magazines
The pistol is powered by a double-row metal magazine with a capacity of 19 rounds. To facilitate and speed up the process of changing the magazine, a low-profile funnel is mounted on the grip, an overlay that widens the slot. The kit comes with 3 magazines equipped with enlarged feet.
Holsters from the XDM model fit the pistol, but note the double-sided breech drop. XDM magazines also fit the HS SF19, but it is necessary to remove the funnel from the weapon or install the enlarged feet.
