Who among us once didn't dream of becoming a cowboy? Thanks to the Legends Cowboy Rifle Renegade 4,5 mm, we can for a moment feel like a movie renegade, and enjoy, from shooting a replica of the weapon that changed the history of the Wild West.
Construction
The key parts of the Legends Cowboy Rifle Renegade, i.e. the barrel, magazine, breech chamber, reloading lever, trigger mechanism and Picatinny rail are made of metal. Only the buttstock and front grip were manufactured from polymer. The tactical styling of the carbine is emphasized by the black finish, the dorsal Picatinny rail and the enlarged reloading lever wrapped with parachute paracord. The advantage of the enlarged reloading lever is the ability to shoot comfortably with gloves during the cold seasons.
Power supply
The Legends Cowboy Rifle Renegade is powered by compressed carbon dioxide from 2 12gCO2 capsules. TheCO2 cartridges are mounted in the under foot of the flask. Installation of the capsules is facilitated by an allen wrench permanently attached to the inside of the footplate. The fired shot reaches a high initial velocity of about 180 m/s, which allows accurate shooting at distances of up to 30 m.
Loading
The carbine has a realistic reloading system, impressively imitating the mechanism of a real Winchester. Unlike classic air rifles, the Legends Cowboy Rifle Renegade uses brass dummy cartridges, in which we place BB's shot.
Thus prepared "cartridges" are loaded through the side window of the breech chamber into the tubular magazine. The introduction of the shell into the chamber is carried out identically to the Winchester, i.e. through a swinging movement of the reloading lever. The reloading after each shot, is accompanied by a spectacular ejection of the shell not found in any other windcheater. The speed of shots fired depends solely on the dynamics with which we are able to reload the carbine.
Brass dummy cartridges are reusable, but for greater convenience it is worth getting an extra set, which greatly speeds up reloading and increases the fun of shooting. BB's shot is designed for recreational shooting at reactive targets, cans, bottles, etc. Unlike lead shot, BB's do not deform even under pressure, so they can be safely loaded into shells.
Picatinny rail
Legends Cowboy Rifle Renegade boldly breaks existing conventions, so the carbine is equipped with a dorsal Picatinny rail, which allows mounting an optical sight or collimator.
Fuse
The carbine's trigger mechanism can be locked when carrying or moving with the rifle by means of a fuse conveniently located within reach of the thumb (at the rear of the breech chamber).
