TheWalther BNK 6 is a small outdoor knife with a fixed head, made of 440C stainless steel and Pakkawood lamninate.
The BNK 6 is designed for those looking for a handy tool with durable construction and classic bushcraft style. A knife of this size will be perfect for camp work, preparing a meal, as well as everyday carry around town.
High-quality stainless steel
The knife is made of popular 440C stainless steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. Thanks to its increased carbon content, the steel resists wear, retains its working sharpness for a long time, and sharpens relatively quickly and easily, which is important for an outdoor knife. The head is coated with a titanium protective coating, which further protects against corrosion and contrasts aesthetically with the wooden liners.
Full tang construction
The Walther BNK 6 has a full tang (so-called full bolt) construction. This term is used to describe knives whose head and handle shank are made from a single piece of steel. Knives of such construction are characterized by high strength and resistance to damage, so they are usually used for heavy work by survival enthusiasts, bushcraft, soldiers and hunters.
The knife has a 4mm blade with a usable drop-point profile, with a derived flat grind and a distinctly rounded belly of the cutting edge. Such a combination guarantees smooth and easy cutting, high blade strength, and the versatility of the knife.
On the back there is a transverse milling, which allows you to rest your finger while working (thumb ramp).
Stylish handle
The knife has elegant Pakkawood black composite liners, attached to the bolster with two screws. Pakkawood is a durable laminate made from wood, which is impregnated with phenolic thermosetting resins. The handle has a contoured shape, with a pronounced finger undercut, this guarantees a stable grip on the knife and comfort in use. The hole in the back of the shank can be used to weave in a decorative braid or safety line. A traditional leather sheath with belt loop is used to carry the knife safely.
