Lansky arkansas LSAPS is a pocket-sized sharpener made of natural arkansas stone, designed to restore sharpness to slightly dulled edges and sharpen tools with a strong point.
Arkansas stone, which originated in North America, is characterized by very fine grains, high hardness and density, making it a valued material for sharpening knives.
Sharpening on Arkansas stone is time-consuming, but the cutting edge retains its sharpness much longer. The use of Nathan's Honing Oil speeds up the sharpening process and allows for much greater sharpness.
The whetstone is compact in size, which makes it easy to fit in a pocket and can accompany us when we travel or go on a field trip.
The longitudinal grooves are used for sharpening fishing hooks and other tools with a spike.
