TheMossberg 590A1 Retro 12/76 51665 is a classic tactical shotgun, equipped with Ghost Ring sights, a walnut wood butt and shuttle, and a fuse on the breech chamber.
Reminiscent of classic Mossberg shotguns, all models in the Retrograde series have a walnut wood butt and shuttle, a finely checkered grip and a vented recoil-dampening footplate.
Thanks to its reliability, the Mossberg 590 A1 shotgun is a popular choice among civilian shooters for sport and recreation. The Mossberg 590A1 is the only pump-action shotgun that meets the rigorous MilSpec 3443E standard. Unlike the standard 500 model, the Mossberg 590 has a heavy thick-walled barrel, aluminum bail and safety.
Construction
TheMossberg 590A1 Retrograge is a full-length repeating rifle equipped with a walnut buttstock, a fixed magazine with an 8-round capacity, two extractor claws, and Ghost-ring sights for precision shooting with ball ammunition.
The 20" long carbon steel barrel has a fixed forend (cylinder) and a 76mm chamber, allowing us to shoot any type of shot, and slug bullets. The tactical roots of the rifle are emphasized by the barrel's heat shield, which protects the shooter's hand from contact with the heated barrel.
The double-action lock is locked by a back-and-forth sliding motion of the shuttle. The metal parts are coated with a durable phosphate coating, which has anti-corrosion properties. On the butt and magazine cap there are hooks for attaching a carry belt.
XS Ghost Ring sighting instruments
The rifle uses an XS Ghost ring sight and a white-marked musket for precision shooting with slug ball ammunition.
