The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. Unlike traditional carbon steel, D2 is a corrosion-resistant carbon steel with high abrasion resistance, good retention and excellent cutting performance.
When choosing a D2 steel knife, it is worth using a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can simply be inefficient and time-consuming. The 82-mm-long spear-point blade is finished using the traditional satin (polished) method. A matte blade is easier to clean and does not reflect light. Thanks to the use of a strong hilt, a high concave grind and a cutting edge with a gently rounded line, the knife penetrates easily and has good cutting properties. When unfolded, the knife is 197 mm long, while the thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between carrying comfort, everyday functionality and durability.
