The Savage 12 BVSS varmint uses a laminated walnut wood stock, which is weather-resistant and wonderfully enhances the hunting character of the rifle. There are 2 buckles on the bed that allow mounting a belt or bipod. The straight flask with a symmetrical cheekpiece provides comfortable composition for right- and left-handed shooters. The flask is finished with a rubber foot that cushions the recoil impulse. On the back of the breech chamber there are holes for mounting optics.
The rifle has a fluted barrel of 660 mm made of stainless steel. The furrowing (1:10) in the barrel was made using the traditional button rifled technique, which guarantees high accuracy and repeatable hits. The Savage 12 BVSS has a single-stage Accu Trigger mechanism with adjustable resistance and protection against firing in case of shock or falling of the weapon. The rifle is cocked by a 4-barrel lock with an extremely smooth and light action. The cocking system is based on two bolts and a floating fore-end lock, which provides secure support with every shot.
The weapon is fed from a removable magazine with a capacity of 4 cartridges.
