TheChiappa M1-9 cal. 9mm Luger is a contemporary carbine modeled after the M1, a self-revolving weapon used from 1941 until the Vietnam War.
The Chiappa M1-9 is a compact carbine powered by 9x19mm ammunition, designed for recreational shooting and PCC competition. The weapon has the same dimensions, sighting instruments and trigger mechanism design as the original. The carbine has been equipped with a tactical stock with a telescopic butt stock and pistol grip, an external safety, an adjustable rifle stock with sight, and Picatinny rails for installing optics, and accessories. The carbine uses a simple mechanism based on a free-floating lock, making the Chiappa M1-9 extremely reliable and easy to clean.
