Opinel knife 8 inox oak Animal series - deer

Product description

Opinel 8 inox oak deer is a folding outdoor knife with a locking head made of Sandvik 12C27 steel and an oak wood handle.

Swedish stainless steel

The blade is made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, whose composition and performance can be compared to the popular 440A steel.

Due to its high hardness, purity of composition, abrasion and corrosion resistance and regular distribution of carbides, the blade of Sandvik 12C27 steel maintains sharpness for a long time and can be easily sharpened even with a pocket sharpener.

A knife made of such steel is a good choice for those looking for an inexpensive and efficient tool for the mountains, the woods or everyday use.

The blade, which has a utilitarian clip-point profile, has a gently curved cutting edge, a strong hilt and a flat grind. Such characteristics make the knife blade not only functional and durable, but also very efficient when cutting.

Locking blade

Unlocking the blade requires the use of two hands. This process is facilitated by the nail cutout, a method known from Swiss pocket knives, among others.

The blade can be easily locked with the Viroblock. The role of the locking mechanism is played by a steel sleeve attached to the knife's handle. After unfolding the blade, it is enough to rotate the sleeve a few degrees until it is impossible to accidentally fold the blade. This simple solution ensures safe as well as comfortable work.

Wooden handle

Theknife has classic oiled oak wood facings, on which hunting-themed graphics have been laser-burned. The round handle has an anatomically profiled shape, so the knife fits comfortably and stably in the hand.
