TheBenchmade 535GRY-1 Bugout is the latest iteration of the popular everyday folder, valued for its functionality, lightweight and comfortable use.
The styling of the new Benchmade Bugout is inevitably associated with a tactical knife, thanks to the faded color scheme of the linings and the blade. The knife uses a blade with a utilitarian drop-point profile, made of CPM-S30V stainless steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. The 82mm long blade is of optimal size and functionality, great for everyday tasks. The CPM-S30V powder steel is characterized by high hardness and resistance to damage, which ensures its optimal sharpness for a long time. The entire head has been coated with a gray chromium nitride coating, which has a very high abrasion resistance, it also further protects against corrosion and oxidation. The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand, thanks to a double-sided peg (made of anodized aluminum), thus allowing right- and left-handed people to operate the knife comfortably. The blade lock is, of course, Axis-lock, Benchmade's flagship mechanism, valued for its great resistance to stress, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use.
Thanks to the use of Grivory plastic liners, the knife's construction is extremely lightweight. The knife weighs only 52.5 grams and when carrying it in your pocket, you almost forget about it. The green color scheme of the facings perfectly harmonizes with the sand-colored anodized spacers. Gently profiled facings with non-slip texturing, provide a firm grip on the knife. The compact clip, with an option for translation (left/right), allows you to carry the knife in your pocket in a very discreet, unobtrusive way.
