ThePeltor ProTac Shooter is an active hearing protector dedicated to shooters, providing a high degree of attenuation of 32 dB, a volume control function and the ability to work with external audio-communication devices.
The active protectors have microphones that allow us to hear ambient sounds. When the safe level of 82dB is exceeded, the electronic circuit turns off the microphones and the noise is suppressed. The protectors provide excellent protection against harmful impulse noise, while ensuring very clear and distinct hearing of ambient sounds, conversations and commands.
ThePeltor ProTac Shooter amplifies sounds below 82 dB, so you can hear much better in the protectors. A huge advantage is the ability to adjust the volume of the sounds and conversations heard, which makes it easier to maintain proper concentration during precision shooting, for example. The use of advanced electronic circuitry eliminates crackling, which occurs in most shooting protectors on the market.
ThePeltor ProTac Shooter isequipped with a smooth-running sound reproduction system, which prevents sudden drops in the level of sound heard.
The protectors are powered by two AA batteries (mounted in one canopy), which provide up to 100 hours of operation. An automatic battery-saving mode turns off the protectors after 4 hours when there is no activity. The electronic system remembers the last volume settings and notifies you of low battery levels.
Activation and volume adjustments are made using 3 large buttons. The Peltor ProTac Shooter have an audio input for connecting an external device such as a smartphone, mp3 or pmr walkie-talkie.
The lower part of the canopy is profiled, so the protectors do not interfere with shooting. Wide, replaceable cushions isolate noise very well, are nice to the skin, and can be easily kept clean.
Profiled bail with comfort pad, evenly distributes pressure on the head, so the protectors can be worn for a long time without feeling unpleasant pressure.
The expandable design of the protectors makes it easy to adjust to the shooter's anatomy. The set includes pads in two color variations.
