The Optima by Hatsan Barrage 5.5mm PCP air rifle is a semi-automatic PCP carbine with an automatic shot reloading system, equipped with a precision-chocked barrel and a polymer thumb-hole stock with adjustable footplate and cheekpiece.
Optima air rifles are manufactured by the Hatsan brand with the same parameters and technological solutions.
Manufactured by the Turkish arms manufacturer Hatsan, the windcheaters have been popular among Polish sport shooters for years thanks to the capabilities they provide within their price range. The Optima by Hatsan brand offers the same excellent cost-to-quality ratio, which is a direct result of the solutions used in the manufacturing process. The manufacturer's tremendous capabilities allow it to manufacture every part in a single factory, so the windguns are made from scratch under the watchful eye of Hatsan specialists.

Optima by Hatsan Barrage 5.5mm - a bullpup precision pcp air rifle
The Optima by Hatsan Barrage 5.5mm carbine uses a futuristic plastic stock. The ergonomic bed has a separate pistol grip, a symmetrical flask with a thumb-hole and two slots for carrying spare magazines. The pistol grip and the front of the bed have non-slip fluting to help maintain full control of the carbine. The Optima by Hatsan Barrage carbine has two Picatinny rails for mounting optics and a bipod, as well as mounts for attaching a suspension to the weapon. The flask can be adjusted to the shooter's build and preferences thanks to the adjustable foot and cheekpiece. Thanks to such functionality, the shooter can adjust the length of the flask and adjust the position of the buttstock depending on the height of the optics mount.
The carbine has a precision furrowed barrel as long as 500 mm ending in a fore-end (taper), which in the case of a long barrel provides better guidance and sealing of the shot in the barrel tube. The floating barrel is protected from damage by an aluminum sleeve finished by anodizing. This process protects the aluminum from oxidation and hardens its surface. A fixed 500 cc compressed air cartridge is used to power the Optima by Hatsan Barrage. A fully charged hp reservoir allows for about 120 shots. Thanks to the built-in pressure gauge, the user can easily control the pressure and remaining air reserve.
The pcp Optima by Hatsan Barrage shotgun uses a self-indexing 10-shot magazine for shot feeding, which is reloaded automatically after the shot is fired. Such a solution is extremely comfortable for the shooter and allows you to concentrate only on working on the trigger tongue and the aiming process. The Optima by Hatsan Barrage has fiber-optic sighting instruments, which can be removed if necessary and replaced with an optical sight of your choice.
The high accuracy of the air rifle is due, among other things, to the use of a two-stage Quattro Trigger. The user can independently define the length of the pre-travel and the weight of the trigger, so already after a short shooting practice we can get a tight and satisfying focus on the target. The carbine is equipped with 2 systems responsible for the safety of use:
- Anti-Knock System-mechanism that prevents the firing of an uncontrolled shot when the windcheater is shaken or dropped.
- Manual safety- to manually lock the trigger mechanism
Together with the carbine we receive a rich set of accessories: three 12-shot magazines, a Quick-Fill charging plug, a suspension for the carbine and a polymer carrying case.
A shot fired from the carbine reaches speeds of up to 200 m/s.
