Glock 17 is the only licensed asg replica of the Glock 17 3rd generation pistol on the market.
The Glock 17 replica is powered by green gas, which is a mixture of propane and silicone oil, which is responsible for the proper operation of the valve and maintenance of the seals. The green gas shoots 6 mm 0.20 g pellets at a velocity of about 320 fps (about 100 m/s). This provides an effective range of 20 meters, so the replica will perform best when shooting at short and medium distances.
The design of the Glock 17 replica is faithfully based on the 3rd generation firearm. The asg gun has a polymer frame, metal lock and barrel, identical partial disassembly process and the same manual operation.
An additional flavor and advantage of the Glock 17 replica is the applied GBB (gas blow-back) system, which retracts the lock after firing, realistically imitating the recoil of a firearm. After firing all the bullets from the magazine, the lock remains in the rear position. Replacing the magazine, reloading and the process of firing a shot also allude to the mechanics of a firearm.
TheGlock 17 replica has an aggressively textured grip and contoured finger rests. The replica uses an adjustable hop-up system, responsible for accuracy and firing range. The hop-up setting is changed using a knob, which is accessed by removing the breech.
As in the original, the replica has a trigger fuse, which forces the shooter to properly and fully pull down the trigger tongue and prevents the firing of an uncontrolled shot.
A white-framed sightsight and a white-dotted bowtie speed up the sighting instruments. A skeletonized 22mm rail, allows attachment of a laser target marker or tactical light.
