The SABATTI Saphire Synt. cal. 308 Win rif le is a new Italian repetition rifle with an accelerator, with an interchangeable barrel system made with MMR technology.
The rifle's bed is made of polymer resistant to mechanical damage and adverse weather conditions.
The rifle has a single trigger with accelerator. The four-barrel swivel-slide lock with a cartridge chamber was made of chrome-nickel steel hot-forged and thermally and chemically hardened.
The floating barrel was created from cold-forged AISI 4140 (42CrMo4) steel for precision and long life. Multiradial Rifling (MMR) threading improves accuracy and provides longevity, easy cleaning and higher bullet velocity. The threaded NiCrMo steel barrel extension has been hardened and tempered with a special process to increase hardness and impact strength.
The lock consists of three parts: the head, the barrel and the grip. This has made it possible to manufacture parts more precisely, use different grades of steel and heat treatment based on the required mechanical properties. The breech works very smoothly, and its movable head provides contact on all 3 protrusions, increasing precision and culture.
The flask is finished with a rubber foot, reducing recoil energy. A detachable single-row magazine for 4 cartridges is included. The rifle uses open sighting instruments with fixed adjustment.
Two Picatinny rails are used for mounting optical sighting instruments.
