The CZ 457 Premium carbine uses a striking walnut stock with non-slip checkering on the pistol grip and the front of the bed.
The carbine has a cold-forged thin-walled barrel of 630 mm in length, terminating in a 1/2×20 thread that allows attachment of selected discharge devices.
A new feature used in this carbine model is a firing pin tension indicator, which makes it easier to quickly check the status of the weapon. Another innovative solution is a convenient breech removal system, without the need to press the trigger tongue, which significantly speeds up the partial disassembly of the weapon.
In the CZ 457, the user also has the possibility to remove the breech and unload the weapon with the safety on.The CZ 457 family carbines use a new trigger mechanism, which allows adjustment of the trigger force from 8 to 15 N and the length of its path 0.5-7 mm.
The manufacturer has also modernized the design of the firing pin, the weight of which has been reduced by nearly 60%, resulting in a faster clang and less shock after firing.
Users will also appreciate the significantly reduced angle of rotation (by 30°) of the reloading lever which allows comfortable use of scopes with a large eyepiece or low mount.
All metal parts of the CZ 457 have an extremely durable anti-corrosion finish.
The carbine is fed from a removable magazine with a capacity of 5 cartridges. The rifle uses fiber-optic sighting instruments in the form of an adjustable scimitar and a tunneled musket.
