Arkansas stone, which originated in North America, is characterized by very fine grains, high hardness and density, making it a valued material for sharpening knives.
Sharpening on Arkansas stone is time-consuming, but the cutting edge retains its sharpness much longer.
The whetstone consists of a solid polymer base and a soft stone with a fine gradation. The rubberized base of the case prevents the sharpener from slipping on the table, and thanks to the holes we can also permanently fix it to the tabletop.
