TheFenix HM65R is a limited edition version of a new head flashlight featuring two light emitters with a total light output of 1,400 lumens, a USB-C charging system and a durable aluminum housing.
The flashlight has a robust and rugged body, made of magnesium alloy, a material that is resistant to mechanical damage, corrosion and weather conditions.
The headlamp has a compact and lightweight design with no external wires, making the flashlight very convenient to use and great for any form of outdoor activity, from cave exploration, camping and evening jogging.
The flashlight's main light source is a powerful Cree XM-L2 U2 LED, which emits a maximum output of 1000 lumens with a cool color recommended for any application requiring intensity and maximum brightness.
The light reflected from the smooth reflector has a fairly concentrated beam with an operating range of up to 140 meters. In addition to the long-range emitter, the headlamp uses a second smaller XP-G2 R5 LED (with a neutral color) and a collimating lens, which disperses the light evenly and provides very efficient and uniform illumination at close range. The flashlight has, of course, an angle adjustment, which is done by tilting the entire flashlight module.
The Fenix HM65R headlamp is powered by a 18650 rechargeable battery (included), which can also be replaced by 2 CR123 disposable batteries. However, we recommend using the 18650 battery, which guarantees full light performance and longer flashlight operation. A USB-C port is installed in this model, which allows you to charge the battery without removing it from the device. This is a very functional solution in the situation when you plan to work for a long time with the head flashlight.
Thanks to the use of two buttons, operation of the flashlight is very simple and convenient and, most importantly, does not require taking the flashlight off the head.
Each emitter is operated by a separate switch, which is also used to change the brightness level. The long-range emitter offers 5 modes: turbo (1000 lumens), high II (600 lumens), high I (400 lumens) medium (130 lumens), low (50 lumens).
Thediffuse light emitter has 3 modes: high (400 lumens), medium (150 lumens) and low (8 lumens). In the maximum mode of 1000 lumens, the flashlight operates for up to 4 hours (depending on the battery used). Simultaneous activation of two LEDs generates a total flux of 1400 lumens!
In the limited version of the HM65R, the driver provides linear operation, which means that in a given mode the flashlight runs until the battery is depleted without automatically reducing the flux.
The Fenix HM65R headlamp is equipped with reverse polarity protection, protecting against incorrect battery installation.
The flashlight features a high IP68 rating, which means it is resistant to dust, dust, heavy rain and even full immersion in water (2 m) for 30 minutes. Therefore, the HM65R can be successfully used in all weather conditions, for virtually any physical activity.
Convenient carrying of the flashlight on the head is ensured by an upgraded rubber band, which wicks away sweat and is equipped with reflective inserts to increase our visibility and safety when moving at night on the road or trail.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. Fenix ARB-L18 18650 3400 mAh 3.6 V battery was used during testing.
