Kill Flash shields were originally used by snipers as part of their weapon camouflage. The shield nullified the reflection of light from the surface of the optics, which effectively prevented detection of the shooter's position.
TheVortex Killa Flash ARD is a lightweight polymer honeycomb cap that screws directly onto the collimator lens. Its installation is extremely simple, requiring only tightening the ARD shield onto the lens thread.
The cover protects the optics from scratches, impacts from small solid objects and effectively limits the visibility of the shooter's position.
