TheNorica Dead Eye GRS 4.5mm is a tactical-style spring-loaded air rifle featuring a modern polymer stock, recoil reduction system, Gas Ram gas spring, fiber-optic sights, variable-height cheek rest, and adjustable trigger mechanism.
TheNorica Dead Eye GRS 4.5mm is a wind-up carbine that is sure to appeal to military weapons and militaria enthusiasts. Tactical in style, it is highlighted by a futuristic bed, a flask with adjustable cheekpiece, accessory side rails and a dummy magazine.
Tactical style
The carbine has a polymer stock, the shape of which is reminiscent of modern sniper rifles. The plastic used is resistant to mechanical damage, weather conditions and moisture.
Maintenance and cleaning of the plastic bed is limited only to general cleanliness and occasional use of silicone oil. There are 2 Picatinny side rails installed on the carbine, allowing the installation of additional accessories such as a flashlight or laser target marker.
This model also uses a buttstock with a vertically adjustable cheek piece, allowing the shooter to adjust its height in relation to the optic or his own preferences.
The separate pistol grip has anatomical finger cutouts for better grip and control of the carbine. The recoil from the shot is effectively absorbed thanks to a vented rubber foot, also responsible for a stable point of support.
Convenient loading
Thespring is tensioned by the classic "barrel break", a method most often used in spring-loaded air rifles due to its convenient and simple operation. The Norica Dead Eye GRS 4.5mm shoots diabolo shot in 4.5mm caliber, loaded directly into the barrel.
An aluminum collar is installed on the barrel, which protects it from damage and facilitates spring tensioning.
GRS (Gas Ram System) gas spring system.
The carbine uses an advanced GRS gas spring system, responsible for high operating culture, reduced recoil and better accuracy. This system is based on a pneumatic cylinder, which, instead of compressing the steel spring, compresses the gas mixture in the cylinder.
When the trigger is pressed, the compressed gas sets the piston in motion, which responds by compressing the air and firing the shotgun. The GRS system ensures a stable initial velocity of the shot and a much longer life of the pneumatic system compared to the standard piston-spring system.
The effect most noticeable to the shooter, is the lower recoil and weight of the carbine, the reduction of vibrations and the sound of the shot, and the reduced effort of stretching the barrel.
Thanks to such properties, the Norica Dead Eye GRS 4.5mm carbine stands out for its smooth and comfortable operation, above-average precision and high operating culture.
Advantages of the GRS system:
- reduced vibration
- easier loading cycle
- higher precision of shots
- equalized initial velocity of each shot
- longer life of the pneumatic system
- high efficiency at low temperatures
- reduced weight of the carbine
RAS recoil reduction system
To ensure maximum comfort in shooting the carbine, the windgun uses an elastomer shock absorber that not only reduces recoil after a shot by 40%, but also provides a smoother shooting cycle, improves precision and increases the initial velocity of the shotgun.
This type of solution is usually used in expensive carbines designed for precision shooting.
NATS adjustable trigger mechanism
One of the most important elements of the weapon affecting its accuracy is, of course, the trigger mechanism.
In the Black Eagle model, the manufacturer used the NATS adjustable trigger mechanism, allowing the shooter to individually adjust the length of the initial travel, the idle movement and the trigger weight.
Such a wide range of adjustment makes it possible to achieve almost full control over the shot, which, of course, significantly affects the accuracy and comfort of shooting.
Silent Shot-quiet and comfortable
An aluminum sound suppressor is installed at the end of the barrel, reducing the noise of the shot to a neutral level that does not affect concentration and shooting comfort. The advantages of having a suppressor will be appreciated not only by the owners of the carbine, but also by other users with whom we shoot together.
Precision and long range
The 474 mm long threaded barrel is responsible for the accuracy and repeatability of the shots, thanks to which we can get a repeatable focus already after a short training.
The fired shotgun reaches a high initial velocity of about 250 m/s (~15 J), so we can also shoot accurately from the carbine at longer distances.
Safety in the foreground
The most important thing in shooting is safety, so when the spring is tightened ("breaking the barrel"), the fuse is automatically activated, which prevents an uncontrolled shot.
Before firing, it is necessary to turn off the safety each time, which is conveniently located in front of the trigger tongue. This affects the extremely easy unlocking of the carbine, which can be done even without interfering with the aiming process.
Modern sighting instruments
The carbine has been equipped with good quality fiber-optic targeting instruments, i.e. a tunnelled musket and a vertically and horizontally adjustable scimitar.
The fiber-opticrods with contrasting (green-red) colors, significantly speed up the alignment of the bow tie and the pincer, and thanks to their high light absorption, also allow shooting in low or residual light, for example, after dark.
If you want to try your hand at shooting at longer distances, you can also mount an optical sight of your choice on the 11mm rail.
Technologies used:
- Solid Steel Breech-steel components manufactured from approved steel
- Fiber Optics Open Sights-sighting instruments with fiber optic rods to speed up and facilitate aiming
- Automatic Safety- the safety is automatically activated when the windcheater is loaded
- RAS- efficient recoil reduction system
- GRS- a gas spring system replaces the mechanical spring, which results in smoother and more comfortable operation, constant initial velocity and increases the life of the air system
- Silent Shot- integratedsilencer, noticeably reduces the noise of the shot.
