TheNorica Spider GRS 4.5mm is a modern air rifle with a classically broken barrel, equipped with a Gas Ram spring, fiber-optic sights and an integrated sound suppressor to effectively dampen the noise of the shot.
Modern polymer bed
The carbine's stock is made of durable polymer with a matte finish , which is resistant to mechanical damage, weather conditions and moisture.
Maintenance and cleaning of the plastic bed is limited only to general cleanliness and occasional use of silicone oil. The Monte Carlo-type symmetrical buttstock allows right- and left-handed shooters to comfortably assemble for shooting and use higher-mounted optics.
Post-shot recoil is effectively absorbed thanks to a vented rubber foot, also responsible for a stable point of support.
Fine mottling was applied to the separated pistol grip and the front of the bed, which improves hand grip and enhances the aesthetic qualities of the carbine. The grip additionally has anatomical finger cutouts responsible for better control and grip of the carbine.
Convenient loading
Thespring is tensioned by the classic "barrel break", the method most often used in spring-loaded air rifles due to its convenient and simple operation. Norica Spider GRS 4.5 mm shoots diabolo shot in 4.5 mm caliber, loaded directly into the barrel.
Tensioning the carbine is significantly facilitated by analuminum suppressor with anatomical finger cutouts, thus providing a more secure and comfortable grip.
GRS (Gas Ram System) gas spring system
The carbine uses an advanced GRS gas spring system, responsible for high operating culture, reduced recoil and improved accuracy. This system is based on a pneumatic cylinder, which, instead of compressing the steel spring, compresses the gas mixture in the cylinder.
When the trigger is pressed, the compressed gas sets the piston in motion, which responds by compressing the air and firing the shotgun. The GRS system ensures a stable initial velocity of the shot and a much longer life of the pneumatic system compared to the standard piston-spring system.
The effect most noticeable to the shooter, is less recoil and weight of the carbine, reduction of vibration and firing noise, and less effort to pull the barrel.
Thanks to such characteristics, the Norica Spider GRS 4.5mm carbine stands out for its smooth and comfortable operation, above-average precision and high operating culture.
Advantages of the GRS system:
- reduced vibration
- easier loading cycle
- higher precision of shots
- equalized initial velocity of each shot
- longer life of the pneumatic system
- high efficiency at low temperatures
- reduced weight of the carbine

Silent Shot-quiet and comfortable
An aluminum sound suppressor is installed at the end of the barrel, reducing the noise of the shot to a neutral level that does not affect concentration and shooting comfort. The advantages of having a suppressor will be appreciated not only by the owners of the carbine, but also by other users with whom we shoot together.
Precision and long range
The 484 mm long threaded barrel is responsible for the accuracy and repeatability of the shots, thanks to which we can get a repeatable focus already after a short training.
The fired shotgun reaches a high initial velocity of about 250 m/s (~15 J), so we can also shoot accurately from the carbine at longer distances.
Safety in the foreground
The most important thing in shooting is safety, so when the spring is tightened ("breaking the barrel"), the fuse is automatically activated, which prevents an uncontrolled shot.
Before firing, it is necessary to turn off the safety each time, which is conveniently located in front of the trigger tongue. This affects the extremely easy unlocking of the carbine, which can be done even without interfering with the aiming process.
Modern sighting instruments
The carbine has been equipped with good quality fiber-optic targeting instruments, i.e. a tunnelled musket and a vertically and horizontally adjustable scimitar.
The fiber-opticrods with contrasting (green-red) colors, significantly speed up the alignment of the bow tie and the pincer, and due to their high light absorption, also allow shooting in low or residual light, for example, after dark.
If you want to try your hand at shooting at a longer distance, you can also mount an optical sight of your choice on the 11mm rail.
Technologies used:
- Solid Steel Breech-steel components manufactured from approved steel
- Fiber Optics Open Sights-open sights with fiber optic rods, making aiming faster and easier
- Automatic Safety- the safety is automatically activated when the windcheater is loaded
- GRS- a gas spring system replaces the mechanical spring, which results in smoother and more comfortable operation, constant initial velocity and increases the life of the pneumatic system
- Silent Shot- integratedsilencer, noticeably reduces the noise of the shot.
