Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 folding knife

Product description

TheZero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 is a small gentleman's folder knife, combining high-quality materials with the simplicity of a classic slip-joint mechanism.

Danish knifemaker Jens Anso, famous for his minimalist yet highly functional knives, is behind the design of the Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230.

Theknife does not have a typical locking mechanism, and unfolding the blade requires two hands, so the folder can be legally carried almost anywhere in Europe.

Branded steel

The 66mm long head was made of CPM-S20V powder steel hardened to 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is a "super-steel" that corresponds in parameters to Bohler's M390 stainless steel.

Thanks to its high chromium content and high amount of vanadium carbides, it is characterized by exceptionally good corrosion and wear resistance, and very long retention of sharpness.

When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.

The sheep-foot profile head has a stonewashed matte finish, which perfectly masks the blade's scratches and nullifies light reflections. The back of the blade is laser-embossed with the knife's brand name.

Slip-joint locking mechanism

The Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 uses a slip-joint mechanism, a simple spring lock that holds the blade in place in both the folded and unfolded positions.

Unlike a typical slip-joint, however, the Zero Tolerance uses two steel stop balls, on either side of the blade. This functionality means that the wedge is also locked in the partially open position.

However, due to the fact that the knife can be folded using negligible force, the slip-joint is not officially recognized as a typical knife lock. This solution makes the knife safe for use and legal in most countries around the world.

Classic unfolding

The blade is unfolded using a nail cutout, a popular solution used in pocket knives, among others. As in traditional folding knives, the action of opening the blade requires two hands.

Elegant facings

The ZT Anso 0230 uses stylish facings made of lightweight carbon fiber, a material with great resistance to mechanical damage and extreme temperatures.

An element that further distinguishes the folder is the blue anodized spacer (backspacer), which features a hole for a cord or decorative braid. Due to the elegant nature of the tool, the knife does not have a clip.
