TheZero Tolerance ZT 0308 is a popular EDC knife, featuring a ball-bearing CPM-20CV steel blade, glow-in-the-dark carbon fiber facings and a convenient flipper unfolding system.
Premium steel
The 89mm-long head was made of CPM-S20V powder steel hardened to 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is an American "super steel" whose parameters correspond to Bohler's elite M390 stainless steel.
Thanks to its high chromium content and high amount of vanadium carbides, it is characterized by exceptionally good corrosion and wear resistance, and very long retention of sharpness.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
The aggressive head with its exotic shape resembles the blade of a harpoon. Thanks to the strong tip, gentle curvature of the edge and flat grind, the blade penetrates perfectly and provides very good cutting properties.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is as much as 4 mm, which guarantees strength and functionality during use. On the back of the blade are applied transverse cutters, which create a very stable place of support for the thumb or index finger.
Convenient unfolding
The blade is unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper, a solution convenient for both right- and left-handed users.
KVT ball bearings were installed on the axis of the head, thanks to which the blade works very smoothly and dynamically, which every user will appreciate during everyday use.
A monolithic frame-lock equipped with a hardened steel insert against titanium abrasion effectively protects the head from accidental folding.
Frame-lock is a solid lock considered one of the most durable locking mechanisms, characterized by resistance to dirt and very comfortable operation.
Spectacular grip
The knife has contoured titanium facings, to which stylish carbon fiber inserts are attached, which glow in the dark when exposed to light. In darkened areas, the knife emanates a soft green glow, which can help you find the knife at night .
On the edges of the titanium facings (the lower part), cross-milling has been machined, ensuring a stable and secure grip.
Convertible clip
The clip has not been forgotten either, which can be screwed onto the right or left facings, depending on preference. The clip is compatible with clips from other manufacturers , such as Emerson, so the user can customize this item.
