The Camshaft Valve 1375 model is a pocket folder for everyday use, which belongs to a line of inexpensive knives with a modern design, made of 4Cr14 steel and equipped with the SpeedSafe system responsible for assisting the opening of the blade.
Proven steel
The small 57mm-long blade is made of sturdy 4Cr14 steel hardened to 55-57 HRC. This Chinese stainless steel is characterized by high corrosion resistance, relatively short-lived sharpness, but this is perfectly compensated by the ease and speed of sharpening.
Such properties of the steel make the Kershaw Valve 1375 intended for less demanding users and people who are just beginning their adventure with the outdoors and the issue of edc.
Handy size, lightness and excellent usability make this clever knife perfect for everyday use, while not ruining our wallet.
Functional blade
The wide blade with a utilitarian drop-point profile has a matte stonewashed (abrasive stone bath)finish, which effectively masks minor scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.
Thanks to the use of a strong hilt, concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curve, the knife has good cutting and penetrating properties, and the blade does not wedge in the material being cut.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.8 mm, which is a compromise between the strength and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Transverse milling cutters made on the back of the wedge allow stable support of the fingers during work.
The knife's design features small decorative touches in the form of a black-oxidized pivot, sandblasted clip and FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon) plastic backspacer.
Convenient handling
The blade is unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper, a solution convenient for both right- and left-handed users. This convenient method of opening the blade makes the use of the knife extremely convenient and easy.
Assist mechanism for unfolding the blade
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism. When the flipper flipper is pressed or the peg is leveraged, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
Robust locking mechanism
A monolithic frame-lock, considered one of the most robust locking mechanisms, effectively protects the blade from accidental folding. The lock, like the flipper, can be operated with one hand.
Carry clip
Discreetly carrying the knife in your pocket is facilitated by a high-set clip (non-repositionable).
Ergonomic linings
The knife's handle is formed by stainless steel facings, gently contoured to the hand. The sandblasted finish gives the entire knife design a very elegant and distinguished look.
