Proven steel

The 76mm long blade is made of sturdy 4Cr14 steel hardened to 55-57 HRC. This Chinese stainless steel is characterized by high corrosion resistance, relatively short-lived sharpness, but this is perfectly compensated by the ease and speed of sharpening.

Such properties of the steel make the Kershaw Airlock 1385 intended for less demanding users and people who are just beginning their adventure with the outdoors and the issue of edc.

Functional blade

Theslender blade with a utilitarian drop-point profile has a matte stonewashed (abrasive stone bath)finish, which effectively masks minor scratches or abrasions of the blade incurred during use.

Thanks to the use of a strong hilt, concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curve, the knife has good cutting and penetrating properties, and the blade does not wedge in the material being cut.

The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.8 mm, which is a compromise between the strength and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Transverse milling cutters made on the back of the blade allow the fingers to stand firmly while working.

The knife's handle is formed by liners made of lightweight and durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The profiled shape of the grip and fine texturing make the knife very secure in the hand and comfortable to use.
