TheBeretta APX Centurion cal. 9mm is a smaller version of the popular non-shortbore, equipped with double-sided manipulators and a handle with interchangeable caps.
Modern modular design
This modular shooting design was developed in connection with the MHS competition for a new pistol for the US Army. The pistol is characterized by high ergonomics and above-average foldability. Lowering the axis of the barrel has reduced recoil, allowing the gun to return to the target quickly and reproducibly.
The Beretta APX Centurion has a double-sided magazine latch and a magazine release that can be submitted to both sides, so it can be comfortably operated with the left or right hand. The low-profile lock has a full-length rib for easy reloading and checking the cartridge chamber.
The main differences from the full-size version are primarily a shorter lock and grip for easier concealed carry, a smaller capacity magazine (15 cartridges) with a slightly lighter weight (785 g).
Thanks to the possibility of replacing the rear panel (3 included), the shooter can adjust the grip size to his hand anatomy. Finger undercuts and aggressive texturing of the grip provide a very good grip.
High level of safety
The gun uses as many as 4 safety features: a tight firing pin drop button, firing pin lock, trigger fuse and a mechanism that disconnects the trigger rail when the lock is in the rear position.
