TheGlock 44 cal. 22 LR is the first side-firing pistol produced by Glock, designed for training, recreation and learning to shoot.
The Glock 44 is a small-sized pistol, modeled on the popular G19 model. The element that distinguishes the pistol is a specially developed lock with a hybrid construction, which is a clever combination of polymer and steel. This design ensures low weight (385 g) and minimal recoil.
The pistol's lock has a durable nDLC (Diamond-Like-Carbon) protective coating, which effectively increases service life and counteracts abrasion and scratching. Quick reloading and operating the pistol with gloves is facilitated by ribbing applied to the front and rear of the breech.
There is a short Picatinny rail on the backbone for attaching a flashlight or laser marker. Texturing on the grip improves grip comfort and control of the gun.
Ergonomics and comfort are ensured by a double-sided locking mechanism, an interchangeable MBS grip lining system (2 extra) and an enlarged magazine foot for easy dynamic change. Like the combat versions, the G44 has a double-sided breech drop, an interleaved magazine catch and a cartridge indicator in the chamber.
The Glock 44 has an easy to feel trigger mechanism with a short reset and a modified GMB barrel (with an improved crown) for high accuracy and repeatable shooting. The sighting instruments are a fixed musket and an adjustable scimitar with white markings.
The pistol is powered by a single-row magazine with a capacity of 10 rounds.
