Kick the Tick is a specially developed tool, tailored to the tick's structure, used to independently and safely remove this dangerous arachnid from the skin.
Proper use of the Kick the Tick instrument minimizes the risk of transmission of dangerous agents that the tick can emit during forcible extraction.
Lightweight design
The tool is designed to remove ticks from 0.8 to 5 mm in size. There are 2 tips of different sizes for this purpose, allowing safe disposal of larvae, nymphs and adults.
Kick the Tick is made of lightweight plastic, so it can be carried constantly when in a pocket, wallet or first aid kit. The middle part of the tool has grooves to prevent fingers from slipping during the delicate operation.
The instrument allows you to remove ticks attached to the skin of humans and animals.
Use
After selecting the appropriate tip, the instrument should be pressed against the skin, slide "under the tick" so that it is in the slot of the tip. Then pull out the tick with a decisive movement, lifting the instrument upwards.
After removal, check that there are no tick fragments left at the insertion site. After disinfecting the wound, we dispose of the tick or deliver it in a test tube for laboratory analysis. Wash or disinfect the instrument and hands after each use.
