TheLeupold VX-Freedom 4-12x40 30mm Tri-MOA is a universal optical sight with a lightweight and durable design, featuring high-quality optics with a Twilight system that enhances image brightness, a Tri-MOA reticle in the background, low-profile turrets and a smooth-action magnification ring.
Highlights of the VX Freedom Series:
Twilight Light Management System:
- Enhances image brightness in low-light environments,
- Eliminates image blur and stray light reflections,
- Premium lens ensures high image sharpness.
Optional Custom Dial drum system - whenshooting at long range, eliminates the need to apply aiming point corrections (aiming over the target) due to distance, gravity and wind effects.
Enlarged zoom ring - allows you to quickly and conveniently change the magnification without taking your eyes off the target.
Lightweight and durable design - evenly disperses recoil energy.
Leupold Punisher durability tests - scopes undergo rigorous testing on the Punisher simulation machine, during which they are subjected to 5000 recoil tests. The machine generates shocks with an energy 3× the recoil of a .308 rifle.
Optional FireDot illumination reticle* - illuminated aiming point visible in all lighting conditions (*selected models).
30mm tube* - at longer distances provides a greater range of aiming reticle adjustment (*selected models).
Motion Sensor Technology (MST)* - the use of a motion sensor extends battery life (*selected models).
Robust construction - the scope's sealed tube is 100% resistant to internal evaporation and weather conditions.
Lightweight and durable
TheLeupold VX-Freedom 4-12×40 30 mm is a lightweight, compact scope with a length of 321 mm. The scope has an aluminum tube with a 30 mm tube diameter, which, unlike the inch version, provides a greater adjustment range of 75 MOA (vertical and horizontal) for aiming reticle settings.
On the eyepiece there is an enlarged moleskin ring for quick and convenient magnification changes. Sealing and filling the optics with gas, completely eliminates the problem of internal lens evaporation and guarantees 100% weather resistance.
Dimensions
Bright and clear image
The American manufacturer Leupold places special emphasis on image quality and brightness.
Therefore, the optical system is built on the basis of premium lenses and the Twilight system responsible for high light transmission, and reducing scattered light by nearly 80% more effectively than similar models available on the market.
The visible image is bright, high-contrast, sharp from edge to edge and deep, so the scope can be used for hunting at dawn and dusk (adds about 10 minutes of light).
The wide field of view (from 6.64 to 3.32 m / 100 m) enables efficient observation and better assessment of the situation during hunting. The spotting scope can also be used comfortably by people using corrective glasses, thanks to its large exit pupil distance.
Parallax adjustment
The side parallax knob allows you to smoothly compensate for parallax error (the error of the point of view affecting the aiming point) by taking your eyes off the target. Parallax correction allows you to fine-tune the focus of the image depending on the distance at which you are shooting.
Adjustment of the image focus is carried out with a mothballed Fast Focus ring.
Universal target reticle
Thescope uses a Tri-MOA sighting reticle in the background, which is a patented design of the Leupold brand. The Tri-MOA universal sighting crosshairs are based on the T-MOA reticle, using scales graduated in 1 and 5 MOA increments (10 MOA in each direction). To facilitate sighting, the upper part of the crosshair is open (devoid of graduations).
The low-profile zero-locking turrets have 1/4 MOA adjustment. The crosshair adjustment range is 75 MOA vertically and horizontally. The barrels have moled walls that allow adjustment of the settings without additional tools.
CDS system
The scope uses an innovative CDS (Custom Dial System) that allows the shooter to adjust the parameters of the elevation drum target to the distance and ballistics of the ammunition used.
Using the CDS, after just a short training session, we can shoot accurately and reproducibly at long distances, without using an elevation table (changing the aiming point).
