Ease of aiming
The Umarex Competition III features a lightweight, open design, so it will work best onCO2 wind guns and asg guns. The sight is mounted on a Weaver/ Picatinny standard rail.
Unlike mechanical sighting devices that require you to be aligned on the target, shooting with a collimator is faster and more instinctive. Simply grasp the green dot in the viewfinder and hover it over the target.
The collimator speeds up target entry, makes it easier to move the aiming point quickly, and allows shooting in low light.
Functionality
The collimator uses an aiming point in the form of a 10 MOA green dot. Adjustment of the dot's position is made with an allen key.
An anti-reflective coating has been applied to the viewfinder, which improves light transmission and reduces its refraction.
The Umarex Competition III sight has two levels of dot brightness: low - for low-light shooting, high - for daylight shooting.
The collimator is powered by a CR 2032 3 V battery, mounted on a tray that slides out from the right side of the sight.
