TheHämmerli TAC R1 22 cal. .22 LR is a rimfire sporting carbine featuring a 13" long floating barrel, adjustable gas system, M-Lok aluminum bed and polymer flip-up sights.
Modeled after the AR-15
The Hämmerli TAC R1 22 carbine uses a 16.1" long barrel terminating in a bird cage type discharge brake. The brake is mounted on a standard 1/2"-28 thread, so we can use other discharge devices on the carbine.
Theadjustable gas system (with a screw in the breech chamber) allows for precise adjustment of the weapon's cycle depending on the weight and velocity of the ammunition used.
Unlike the standard AR-15 carbine, in the TAC R1 22 the fuse can be activated even on the released cock, to release the breech left in the rear position it is necessary to use the reloading lever.
Aluminum construction
This model uses a 13" aluminum bed (free-float) in the M-Lok system to allow attachment of selected shooting accessories (at 3,6 and 9 o'clock). The breech chamber has an integrated Picatinny rail, connecting to the bed rail into a unified whole.
The breechand trigger chamber is made of 7075 T-6 aluminum and has an HA-III anodized finish. The two-stage trigger mechanism, weighing 3.85 kg , has a pronounced reset, helping with rapid firing.
Functional extras
The carbine features a 5-position adjustable buttstock, Hammerli pistol grip, polymer flip-up s ights and a 20-round magazine.
