TheKershaw 1367 is a compact edc folder that features an 8Cr13Mov stainless steel blade, classic liner-lock and SpeedSafe assist mechanism.
With a combination of modern design handy size, solid steel and functional design, the Kershaw 1367 will be perfect for a typical edc knife.
Stainless steel
TheKershaw 1367 wascreated for everyday use and light camp work, which is clearly emphasized by its size, solid construction and typically functional style.
The 79mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardenedto 57-59 HRC. This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6.
The8Cr13MoV steel blade will be great for everyday use due to its corrosion resistance, good sharpness retention and ease of sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is completely sufficient.
Functional style
The blade with a utilitarian sheep footprofile has a striking BlackWash (black oxidation) finish. Thanks to the use of a strong concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curve, the knife has good cutting properties, and the blade does not wedge in the material being cut.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.7 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
Convenient unfolding
The blade can be unfolded with one hand in two ways: with a milled flipper or with a two-sided peg, allowing you to choose the method according to your preferences. Both solutions are convenient for both right- and left-handed users, and also allow comfortable operation of the knife with gloves.
Assist mechanism for unfolding the blade
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism. When the peg is leveraged or the flipper flipper is pressed, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
Blade lock
Once the blade is unfolded, it is securely locked with a liner-lock mechanism. The steel locking bar provides a high level of security, and its operation is very intuitive and convenient. A reliable lock is an important element calling for the functionality and safety of the folding knife.
Carrying clip
The discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is made possible by a steel clip (not repositionable). There is also a hole on the handle for attaching a decorative braided paracord, which are very popular among most knife owners.
Modern handle
The knife has lightweight liners made of FRN - fiberglass-hardened nylon. The handle has a minimalist style enlivened by geometric milling, which improves the grip of the knife. Responsible for the rigidity and strength of the knife are steel reinforcing inserts, to which the facings are attached.
