TheWalther Rotex RM8 Varmint 5.5mm PC P is a modern PCP carbine that features a polymer thumbhole stock, a precision Lothar Walther barrel with external threading and a 200cc cartridge providing up to 180 shots.
Polymer bed
The air rifle has an ergonomic bed made of durable polymer. The plastic stock is lighter than a wooden one, weather-resistant, and low-maintenance.
An element that emphasizes the modern character of the air rifle is the thumbhole-type flask, with an isolated pistol grip and open space for the thumb.
This type of flask allows for a more secure grip on the carbine, increases shooting comfort especially for those with small hands, and reduces the weight of the windcheater.
Fine Hi-Grip texturing has been applied to the buttstock and pistol grip, preventing the carbine from slipping from the hand. The rear of the stock features a ventilated footplate, which allows the carbine to sit securely and comfortably in the shooting hole.
Thanks to the symmetrical cheek piece with a high profile, the carbine can be comfortably shot by right- and left-handed shooters.
The carbine's stock is distinguished by good ergonomics and balance, so shooting the carbine regardless of the shooting stance is comfortable and pleasant.
Capacious magazine
The Rotex RM8 Varmint is a multi-shot carbine, thanks to its rotating aluminum magazine with a capacity of 8 rounds. Once the magazine is inserted into the breech, it is magnetically secured.
A biathlon-type side lever is used to reload the shotgun. Repetition is carried out smoothly and lightly, without requiring the shooter to take his eyes off the target. It is recommended to use half-round or flat diabolo shot for shooting.
Excellent precision
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint is a carbine with impressive accuracy and repeatability. The carbine owes its excellent shooting performance to 3 key elements: a Lothar Walther brand barrel, an adjustable trigger mechanism and a recoilless PCP power supply.
The air rifle uses a 500mm long precision chocked barrel from the renowned Lothar Walther company. The precision of manufacture guarantees excellent accuracy of the carbine, thanks to which we can get a tight group of shots after just a short training.
At the end of the barrel there is a 1/2" UNF external thread used for mounting a suppressor or moderator.
The trigger mechanism is distinguished by its smooth and perfectly perceptible action and the possibility of pre travel adjustment (slack adjustment). A manual safety, located at the rear of the breech chamber, was used to secure the trigger mechanism.
Due to the different design and power system, PCP airguns do not generate recoil, so they provide excellent accuracy and shooting pleasure.
The lack of recoil brings additional benefits, we do not have to manifest the loss of zero or damage to the optics, which happens in the case of high energy spring-loaded windcheaters.
Power supply
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint 5.5mm PCP is powered by compressed air stored in a 200cc cartridge. The cartridge filled to a maximum pressure of 232 Bar allows you to fire about 180 shots with an energy close to 16 J.
An integrated pressure gauge makes it easy to read the pressure in the cartridge, so you know what air supply you have. To recharge the PCP airgun, it is necessary to purchase a special pump or HP cylinder, from which we can pump air into the cartridge.
