Fenix LR50R is a professional flashlight for exploration and prospecting that emits a light output of 12,000 lumens with a range of 950 m!
Construction
Fenix LR50R is the latest long-range searchlight that combines impressive light performance, great functionality in a relatively lightweight and compact device.
The 163mm-long body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum finished with HAIII anodizing process, creating a durable protective coating with high scratch and abrasion resistance.
The transverse grooving of the head acts as a heat sink to dissipate excess heat, emitted by a set of 4 powerful LED emitters. The massive head is finished with a raised steel ring that allows the flashlight to be positioned vertically without risking damage to the optics. The milling of the body improves the flashlight's grip and grip and gives it a modern style. Thanks to the flat base, the flashlight can be placed vertically (the "candle" function) and efficiently illuminate the interior of the object or cave being explored. In the back there is a clip for attaching a lanyard or safety cable. The flashlight additionally has a metal attachment for a carrying belt, which, when unscrewed, reveals a threaded socket compatible with standard photographic tripod connectors.
Darkness will not hide
The impressive light performance was achieved through the use of 4 Cree SST70 LEDs and smooth reflectors, which reflect light with a flux of as much as 12,000 lumens over a distance of as much as 950 meters. This distance corresponds to the length of 8 full-size football fields. The tempered glass with a transmittance of 98% has been coated with anti-reflective coating, thus reducing light loss to a minimum. The powerful 75° wide beam can be used in search and rescue operations, exploration and extreme tourism, and object monitoring.
Main modes:
- Turbo 11,000 lumens,
- high II 6,000 lumens,
- high I 3000 lumens,
- medium 1000 lumens,
- low 350 lumens,
- eco 50 lumens.
Additional modes:
- turbo 12,000 lumens,
- strobe 6,000 lumens,
- SOS 350 lumens.
Intelligent proximity sensor
The flashlight uses an intelligent sensor that automatically detects when the head is too close to the ground, Once the flashlight exceeds a distance of 60 mm from the ground and illuminates it for 1.5 seconds, the flashlight automatically reduces the brightness level (to eco mode).
Comfort of use
The flashlight is distinguished by a very simple and convenient to use interface, divided into main and secondary modes, Separate steel buttons with high responsiveness and resistance to mechanical damage are used to activate and change light modes.
The location of the switches on the side of the flashlight (under the thumb) makes the use and change of light parameters very intuitive and convenient.
The Fenix LR50R also has a locking function to prevent uncontrolled activation of the light during transport. To do this, press and hold the switches simultaneously for 3 seconds. Disabling the lock requires the same steps.
A great convenience is the LED indicator that shows the state of charge of the battery, activated by a single click of any switch (flashlight off).
Indicator markings:
- 4 LED lights: 100-80%
- 3 LEDs lit: 80-60%
- 2 LEDs lit: 60-40%
- 1 lit diode: 40-20%
- 1 flashing diode: 20-0%
Power supply
The Fenix LR50R is powered by a powerful 12,000 mAh ARB-L52-16000 rechargeable battery pack, on which the flashlight can operate for up to 4 days in ecco mode (50 lumens) or 45 minutes in turbo mode (12,000 lumens). The flashlight can use an alternative form of power in the form of 4 21700 rechargeable batteries (not included).
With a USB-C port and support for PD3.0 / PD2, QC3.0 and QC2.0 fast charging protocols, we can recharge the ARB-L52-16000 battery in just a few hours.
The capacious battery and USB-C port allow the flashlight to act as a power bank, so we can recharge our phone or PMR radio in a crisis situation. The sockets are protected from moisture, rain and dust with sealed rubber plugs.
Additional features:
For safety and proper operation, the Fenix LR50R has overheat protection, reverse polarity protection and a low battery warning.
The flashlight has a high IP68 rating, which means it is completely resistant to dust and dirt, fine solids, full immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters) and a drop from 1 meter.
All light and durability parameters of the flashlight are in accordance with ANSI/PLATO FL1 standards.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. Fenix ARB-L37-12000 rechargeable battery was used during testing.
