TheWalther Pro Rescue is an advanced rescue knife equipped with a serrated blade, an emergency glass breaker and a retractable blade for cutting seat belts.
The knife uses a large (95mm) drop-point blade made of 12C27 stainless steel. This Swedish stainless steel has high hardness, good wear resistance, and a regular distribution of carbides, which guarantees smooth and efficient cutting. It is worth noting that the 12c27 Sandvik steel blade can be sharpened even with a pocket ceramic sharpener.
Combo blade
The cutting edge is partially serrated, which is especially important in emergency situations, as the rescuer is often forced to cut fibrous materials such as webbing, clothing, ropes, etc. The use of a concave grind makes the cut very smooth, and the blade does not wedge in the material being cut. An enlarged disk is used to unfold the blade, which allows the knife to be operated also with gloves. Frets on the back of the blade act as a ramp for the thumb or index finger, making it easier to operate the knife.
Locking blade
The role of the lock is performed by the liner-lock mechanism, valued for its durability, simplicity and convenience of use. Responsible for the comfort and durability of the tool is the ergonomic handle, which is formed by rubberized liners and steel reinforcing inserts. Yellow inserts have been applied to the grip to increase the visibility of the knife in low-light conditions.
Rescue tools
The Walther Pro Rescue knife is equipped with additional rescue tools, i.e. an emergency glass breaker (made of hard tungsten carbide) and an extendable blade for safely cutting car belts (without having to unfold the main blade).
Convenient operation
The blade is unfolded with one hand in two ways, i.e. with a thumb-disc or a milled flipper, allowing you to choose the method most convenient for you. The solutions used are comfortable for both right- and left-handed users, and also allow comfortable operation of the knife with gloves. To carry the knife on the belt we can use a nylon case or a steel clip.
