TheSako Tikka T3X Tac A1 20'' cal. 223 Rem is a repeating rifle modeled after military weapons, featuring a heavy 20" compensated barrel, an aluminum M-Lok bed and an adjustable two-stage trigger.
The Sako Tikka T3X Tac A1 20'' cal. 223 Rem is a rifle developed in 2004 at the request of the French police, as a weapon for shooting in urban areas.
The tactical nature of the weapon, as well as its excellent accuracy, made the Sako Tikka T3X Tac a huge success in the US, where as many as 15,000 units were sold in the first year of distribution.
Military design
The Tikka T3X has a modular design, featuring a pistol grip (compatible with AR15) and a 343mm-long tactical M-LOK bed that allows the attachment of additional shooting accessories.
The buttstockhas an adjustable cheek piece, a Picatinny accessory rail and a solid footplate that effectively absorbs recoil. The rifle is fed from a double-row (detachable) magazine with a capacity of 10 rounds. The fuse allows you to unload the weapon without unlocking it.
Excellent precision
TheSako Tikka T3X Tac A1 20'' guarantees a focus of less than 1 MOA, right out of the box and with optics mounted. The rifle owes such high precision to the use of a heavy floating barrel with a 1:8 thread pitch and a two-stage trigger mechanism adjustable from 1 to 2 kg.
The rifle comes standard with a factory exhaust brake, very effectively reducing the recoil of the weapon. The weapon has no mechanical sighting instruments.
Shooting performance and comfort are provided by an enlarged shell ejector window, a Teflonized 4-barrel lock, a breech chamber with 2 3rd generation T3X bolts, a reinforced breech cover, and a long Picatinny rail for mounting optics.
