TheLeupold Mark 3HD 4-12x40 30mm P5 Side Focus TMR is a premium all-purpose optical sight for hunters and sport shooters, featuring the Elite Optical System, HD optics, TMR reticle in the background, side parallax adjustment and ZeroStop system to protect against accidental zero changes. An excellent choice for medium and long range shooting.
Highlights of the Mark 3HD series:
Elite Optical System:
- Unrivaled brightness even in the most difficult conditions,
- Enhanced Twilight Efficiency,
- Enhances image brightness in low-light environments (approximately 30 minutes),
- Eliminates image blur and stray light reflections,
- Premium lenses provide edge-to-edge sharpness,
- enhances image depth and contrast.
Optional Custom Dial drum system - when shooting at long range, eliminates the need to apply aiming point corrections (aiming over the target) due to distance, gravity and wind effects.
Lightweight and durable design - evenly disperses recoil energy.
Leupold Punisher durability tests - the scopes undergo rigorous testing on the Punisher simulation machine, during which they are subjected to 5000 recoil tests. The machine generates shocks with an energy 3× greater than the recoil of a .308 rifle.
30mm tube - provides a greater range of aiming reticle adjustment.
Fast Focus - a mottled lever for changing the magnification with an enlarged pin,
Rugged construction - the scope's sealed tube is 100% resistant to internal evaporation and weather conditions.
Secondary sighting reticle - provides universal use
125 MOA adjustment range - increased range of adjustment.
Modern technologies
The Leupold Mark 3HD 4-12x40 30 mm P5 Side Focus TMR is a versatile tactical/hunting scope with a length of 320 mm and a weight of 460 g. The scope can be used on both hunting rifles and semi-automatic rifles.
The scope has an aluminum (6061-T6) tube with a diameter of 30 mm, which, unlike the inch version, provides a much greater range of adjustment of the reticle settings amounting to. On the eyepiece there is a moleskin ring with a twist-off pin used for quick and convenient magnification changes. The scope's tube is filled with dry nitrogen, which eliminates the effects of thermal shock, reduces gas diffusion inside the scope and eliminates the problem of internal lens evaporation.
The scope underwent rigorous testing on the Punisher simulation machine, during which the scopes were subjected to 5,000 recoil endurance tests. The machine generates shocks with an energy of 3× the recoil of a .308 rifle.
Dimensions
Bright and clear image
The American manufacturer Leupold places special emphasis on image quality and brightness. The optics use high-resolution calcium fluoride lenses, which ensure incredible image clarity and sharpness at all magnification levels. The outer surfaces of the lenses are covered with a durable coating, which effectively protects the optics from scratches, reduces the settlement of water, dirt and fingerprints.
The scope's high brightness, 3× magnification and field of view (from 7.16 m to 3.35 m/ 100 m) allow precise observation and shooting at varying distances in difficult lighting conditions.
P5 TMR sighting reticle
The FireDot TMR is a precision aiming reticle in the background. Instead of dots, linear scales are used to increase precision and allow for more accurate corrections. A low-profile P5 drum with a 1/10 MRAD click is used to adjust the plumb line.
- Based on the popular Mil-Dot reticle
- Developed in cooperation with special units operators, long-range shooters and hunters
- integrated measuring tool
- large number of aiming points allows long-distance shooting
- allows shooting at moving targets
- 1 MRAD - 10 cm / 100 m
Tactical reels with quick zeroing system
The scope uses the Zero Lock System, which eliminates the possibility of accidental changes of elevation settings and at the same time allows quick and precise return to zero without the need for additional tools. High-contrast markings with increased visibility are applied on the turrets of the drums.
Parallax adjustment
The side parallax knob allows you to smoothly compensate for parallax error (viewpoint error affecting the aiming point) by taking your eyes off the target. Parallax correction allows you to fine-tune the focus of the image depending on the distance you are shooting.
