TheFenix HL18R-T is a lightweight sports headlamp with micro-USB port charging, emitting 2 types of light with a maximum output of 500 lumens. The flashlight features a dual on/off switch, a replaceable 1,300 mAh battery and an adjustable Sport Fit System headband operated with one hand.
The Fenix HL18R-T is an upgraded version of the popular HL18R-T headlamp, offering a more powerful light output, longer range and a convenient adjustable headband. The model was created for people looking for a lightweight and reliable headlamp for jogging, Nordic walking, trekking and other outdoor activities where every gram of equipment is important.
The main changes compared to the Fenix HL18R model:

Lightweight polymer housing
The body of the headlamp is made of lightweight plastic, which is characterized by high thermal stability, resistance to mechanical damage and high temperatures. Such properties provide the flashlight with strength and reliability of operation, making it ideal for demanding outdoor activities. It is worth noting that the weight of the headlamp, including batteries, is only 91 g, so once you put the flashlight on your head, it is easy to forget about it.
Dual light output
The light source is two Everlight 2835 LEDs and a Cree XP-G3 S3 LED. The light emitted has a natural light color with a high CRI, which renders colors well and does not tire the eyes even with prolonged use. Depending on the needs and situation, we can use 2 types of light: focused with a maximum flux of 500 lumens or diffused with a value of 30 lumens. Two beam widths (84°/17°), a maximum range of 82 m (focused light in high mode) and 60° light angle adjustment (inclination of the entire head) make the Fenix HL18R-T a valuable light for any jogging, hiking or fishing enthusiast.
Multi power supply
The Fenix HL18RW headlamp is factory-powered by a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh. The pack used provides up to 30 hours in low mode (30 lumens) or up to 180 minutes of total operation in high mode (500 lumens). The manufacturer has provided for an alternative form of power supply. When the battery is discharged, we can replace it with 3 popular AAA (Ni-MH/alkali) batteries. Going on a longer trip outside the city, it is worth taking a supply of AAA batteries with us, so that even in a random situation we will not run out of light.
Fast charging
A high-speed Micro-USB port is used for charging the battery, which allows the battery to be fully charged in just 2.5 hours (mains charging). The Micro-USB port allows the battery to be recharged, for example, while traveling in the car, at work or using a power bank. This solution also reduces the cost of having to purchase a charger and provides us with independence and greater mobility during outdoor activities. The flashlight uses an LED battery level indicator (4 LEDs), which clearly indicates the battery status, allowing for thoughtful power management.
Separate switches
To operate the flashlight there are two buttons located on the top of the flashlight, separate for concentrated and diffused light. This solution guarantees convenience and ease of use of the headlamp. The assigned button turns on/off and changes the brightness of the light. The flashlight uses 5 modes of operation: 3 levels of concentrated light (low, medium, high) and 2 settings of scattered light (low, SOS). The flashlight has a lock function to prevent accidental activation of the flashlight while carrying it, which can, of course, lead to uncontrolled battery drain.
All-weather resistant
The Fenix HL18R-T provides IP66 rating, which means it is resistant to dust, dust, heavy rain, splashing and dropping from a height of 1 meter. So we can use the flashlight in almost any weather conditions and varied physical activities without worry. The advanced driver and robust design makes the flashlight work efficiently in a wide temperature range: -35°C to 45° C.
Quick-adjustable headband
The Fenix HL18R-T uses the patented Fit System band adjustment system, which allows you to adjust the band's circumference with one hand. The mechanism is operated by a rotating disk, with which we can easily shorten or increase the circumference of the band even while jogging.
The widened strap is responsible for comfortable and stable wearing of the flashlight on the head and easy wicking of sweat during physical activity. The strap has reflective inserts to increase our visibility and safety when moving at night on the road or trail.

The presented parameters were obtained under laboratory conditions. Fenix ARB-LP-1300 rechargeable battery and AAA Pairdeer alkaline batteries were used during testing.
