TheLeupold Freedom RDS 1×34 Red Dot BDC 1 MOA is a collimator sight with a 1 MOA precision dot and elevation adjustment knob pre-calibrated to the ballistics of .223 Remington ammunition. It comes with a tall Picatinny rail mount.
Freedom RDS collimator highlights:
- Twilight Red Dot System for improved image brightness in low-light conditions,
- waterproof design,
- dew resistance,
- MST motion sensor,
- lifetime warranty,
Lightweight aluminum construction
The body of the sight is made of aluminum by precision milling. The collimator is resistant to evaporation, fog, immersion in water (up to 10m) and can be safely used in harsh weather conditions.
The optical system has an unlimited distance from the eye, so the sight can be used by people wearing corrective lenses.
Twilight Light Management System - bright and sharp images
The optical system is built with premium lenses, providing high light transmission and a crystal-clear and high-contrast image free of parallax error. The edges of the lenses have a black finish to prevent light scattering. The image seen in the sight is bright regardless of weather and lighting conditions, so the collimator can be used for hunting at dawn and dusk.
Twilight Light Management System:
- Enhances image brightness in low-light environments,
- Eliminates image blur and stray light reflections,
- premium lens ensures high image sharpness.
Fast and precise aiming
The viewfinder uses a classic 1 MOA red dot, which provides a wide field of view (does not obscure the target), fast handling and precision shooting. Adjustment of the dot's position is made with 2 moletized drums. The adjustment range is 80 MOA vertically and horizontally (full rotation of 15 MOA).
BDC system
The Leupold Freedom RDS 1×34 Red Dot BDC sight uses an elevation adjustment knob that has been calibrated to standard .223 Rem 55 grs ammunition. This allows the BDC to quickly and conveniently change settings depending on the shooting distance.
MST Motion Sensor
Using Motion Sensor Technology (MST), the dot illumination automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity. The dot illumination is switched on again when the weapon is moved or repositioned. The advantage of this system is that it significantly extends the operation of the collimator. The average battery life is about 1000 hours for a brightness setting between 4-8 levels. The brightness of the dot (8 levels) is adjusted using the side Push Button.
