TheWalther Premium Skinner is a classic hunting knife for skinning and camp work made of 440C stainless steel and walnut wood.
Reliable full tang construction
The Walther Premium Skinner has a full tang (aka full bolt) construction. This term describes knives whose head and handle shank are made of a single piece of steel. Knives of such construction are characterized by high resistance to damage, which is why they are used for outdoor work by survivalists, bushcraft enthusiasts, soldiers and hunters.
High-quality stainless steel
The blade of the knife is made of the popular 440C stainless steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. Thanks to its increased carbon content, the steel is resistant to wear, retains its working sharpness for a long time, and sharpens relatively quickly and easily, which is important for a field knife. The head is finished with a classic satin (polishing) technique, giving the blade an elegant look.
Skinning blade
The wide flat-ground blade has a distinctly rounded belly, which, combined with the utilitarian drop point profile, provides excellent cutting performance and high stress resistance. Cross-milling has been made on the back and front of the spine to create a stable point of support for the fingers. This popular convenience allows for comfortable and precise handling of the knife, which for a hunter is crucial when taking game. The massive 3.8mm thick head has a flat back, allowing it to be used for heavier field work, such as batoning wood or starting a fire with a flint.
Traditional handle
The knife has a stylish handle, consisting of a molded liner of oiled walnut wood, a polished hilt, brass spacers and a steel ferrule, which, along with the hilt, improve the grip and prevent the knife from slipping from the hand. To carry the knife, there is a leather sheath that fastens with a metal fastener.
