TheFenix WF30RE is a professional intrinsically safe flashlight with a light output of 280 lumens, with a safe charging system, and is IECEx, ATEX and SGS certified for use in the most hazardous explosive areas and high dust.
Armored design
The flashlight's tube is made of hardened A6061-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized HAIII coating, which guarantees resistance to damage and oxidation. The flashlight's strength and reliability are confirmed by drop tests (resistance to a fall from a height of 1.5 meters) and crash tests, in which the body was subjected to impact with a 1 kg steel ball from a height of 70 cm. Unlike traditional tactical and edc flashlights, the cap is locked with an 8mm bolt. This reinforcement of the design prevents the flashlight from being accidentally dislodged during a fall or impact. The flashlight has a high IP66/IP68 waterproof rating, so it is resistant to full immersion in water at a depth of 2 m and a fall from a height of 1 m.
Optimum range and width of light
The light source is the popular Cree XP-G2 LED , which emits a beam of neutral color, which even with prolonged use does not fatigue the eyes, and the illuminated objects more faithfully reflect their colors and details. The flashlight uses a tempered glass with high light transmission and an orange peel reflector, which makes the light beam evenly dispersed and effectively illuminates objects up to 170 meters away. The flashlight's maximum flux is 280 lumens, optimal for short-distance operation, and illuminating distant areas.
Operating modes
The user has 3 modes of constant light: high, medium, low, and one flash mode: strobe. To operate the flashlight, there is one side button (made of metal) for activating and changing light modes. The convenient location of the switch and the easy-to-read interface ensure that the flashlight is convenient and user-friendly. The WF30RE flashlight also features a battery level indicator (LED in the side switch), protection against overheating and reverse polarity, and a low battery warning function.
Battery level indication:
- Steady green light: 100-85%,
- Flashing green light: 85-50%,
- steady red light: 50-25%,
- flashing red light: 25-1%.
Intrinsically safe charging
The flashlight uses a special Fenix ARB-L21-2600Ex lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which meets stringent safety tests (including explosion-proof tests) and features high and low temperature resistance from -35°C to 45°C. The 2600 mAh capacity provides up to 120 hours of operation in low mode - 30 lumens. An intrinsically safe DC interface with circuit protection is used to charge the flashlight, protecting the circuit from AC hazards. It takes 5 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge the Fenix WF30RE. Test results obtained by Fenix under laboratory conditions.
Safety certifications
The FenixWF30RE has undergone rigorous testing and has IECEx, ATEX and SGS certifications, which allow the device to operate in particularly hazardous environments, ie:
- Zone 1- a space where an explosive atmosphere consisting of a mixture of air and flammable substances in the form of gases, mists, vapors may occasionally arise during normal use.
- Zone 2- a space in which an explosive atmosphere consisting of a mixture of air and flammable substances in the form of gases, mists, usually does not occur during normal use, but there is a risk of its occurrence and short duration
- Zone 21 - a space where the explosive atmosphere consists of a cloud of combustible dust in air, may occasionally occur during normal use
- Zone 22 - a space where the explosive atmosphere consists of a cloud of combustible dust in air, does not occur during normal use, but there is a risk of its appearance and brief occurrence.
