TheDiana 260 4.5mm is a spring-loaded air rifle that impresses with its modern design and ergonomic thumbhole bed for comfort and shooting pleasure.
Ergonomic thumbhole bed
The carbine's stock is made of durable polymer, which is resistant to mechanical damage, weather conditions and moisture. Maintenance and cleaning of the plastic bed is limited only to general cleanliness and occasional use of silicone oil.
The flask with a symmetrical buttstock allows right- and left-handed shooters to comfortably assemble for shooting and use higher-mounted optics. A rubber foot attached to the butt nullifies recoil after shooting and provides a stable point of support.
An element that emphasizes the modern character of the air rifle is the thumbhole buttstock, with an isolated pistol grip and open space for the thumb. The advantage of such a design is a more stable grip and better control of the carbine (especially for users with smaller hands) when shooting in a standing stance. Wide fluting has been made on the separated pistol grip and the front of the bed, which improves grip and gives the carbine a modern look.
Classically broken air rifle
Thespring is tensioned by classic "barrel break", a method most often used in spring-loaded windcheaters due to its convenient and simple operation. The Diana 260 shoots diabolo shot in 4.5 mm caliber, loaded directly into the barrel The accuracy and repeatability of the shots is due to the 420 mm long furrowed barrel, thanks to which we can achieve repeatable focus already after a short training. The fired shot reaches an energy of less than 16 J.
Automatic safety
In shooting, the most important thing is safety, so when the spring is stretched ("breaking the barrel"), the fuse is automatically activated, which prevents the firing of an uncontrolled shot. Before firing, you should always turn off the safety, which is conveniently located at the rear of the piston chamber. This affects the extremely easy decocking of the carbine, which can even be done without interfering with the aiming process.
Fiber optic sighting instruments
The carbine has been equipped with good quality fiber-optic targeting instruments, i.e. a tunnelled musket and a vertically and horizontally adjustable scimitar. The fiber-optic rods, with contrasting (green-red) colors, greatly speed up the alignment of the bowtie and the pincer. The piston chamber has a factory 11mm wide dovetail cutter for mounting an optical sight.
