TheCA Mesa BBZ cal. 308 Win 22" is a high-performance hunting repeater for hunting from an uphill position, equipped with a lightweight 22" long profiled barrel, unscrewable exhaust brake and carbon fiber composite stock. Lightweight hunting rifle
The rifle's stock is made of ultralight carbon fiber composite, which is also resistant to moisture, temperature changes and mechanical damage. The unloaded rifle (without optics) weighs only 3016 g, so even after moving around with the weapon for several hours, the hunter does not feel as tired as when carrying a classic rifle with a wooden or heavy polymer stock.
Unlike a classic wooden buttstock, carbon fiber is not only much lighter, requires virtually no maintenance and is highly resistant to weather conditions. The bed has an isolated pistol grip, a flask with a soft footplate to effectively absorb recoil, and standard buckles for attaching a carry belt.
Precision of less than 1 MOA
The Christensen Arms Mesa rifle guarantees a focus of less than 1 MOA, right out of the box and with optics mounted. Such precision is due to the rifle's floating barrel with a 1:10 thread pitch and adjustable Trigger Tech® Trigger mechanism. The lightweight contoured barrel made of 416R steel has a Match-type cartridge chamber, it is also subjected to manual lapping by Christensen Arms gunsmiths, affects excellent accuracy and repeatability of shots. The barrel ends with a 1/2 × 28 thread, on which a lightweight discharge brake is mounted.

Ergonomics and functionality
The rifle is distinguished by its smooth and reliable mechanics, which are provided by the torsionally fluted lock, enlarged shell ejection window, steel breech chamber compatible with the Remington 700 mounting base, M16-style ejector and fluted reloading lever. The rifle has an integrated magazine with a capacity of 4 rounds. The rifle's breech has undergone nitriding, a thermo-chemical treatment that increases corrosion and wear resistance, improves fatigue resistance and hardens the steel.
