TheChristensen Arms Mesa Long Range Tung cal. 308 Win 24" black-gray is an upgraded version of the Mesa model, designed for long-range shooting equipped with a 24" long floating barrel, unscrewable exhaust brake, branded Trigger Tech trigger mechanism , and ergonomic carbon-fiber stock enhanced with an adjustable cheekpiece. The rifle's excellent accuracy is confirmed by the Christensen Arms Sub-MOA warranty.
A rifle for long-range shooting
The rifle's stock is made of ultralight carbon fiber composite, which is also resistant to moisture, temperature changes and mechanical damage. Unlike a classic wooden stock, carbon fiber is not only much lighter, requires virtually no maintenance and is highly resistant to weather conditions.
The shape of the bed was developed for shooting in a recumbent position with the use of a bipod, so the carbine will be perfect for long-distance shooting. The flask has a simple, symmetrical shape with an isolated pistol grip, and an adjustable cheek piece (vertically). Thanks to the flask spacer system, the shooter can define the LOP (Length of Pull) to his own anatomy. LOP stands for the distance from the end of the butt to the trigger face. The rubber foot provides a stable point of support and effectively absorbs recoil energy.
Precision of less than 1 MOA
The Christensen Arms Mesa rifle guarantees a focus of less than 1 MOA, right out of the box and with the optics mounted. Such precision is due to the rifle's floating barrel with a 1:10 thread pitch and adjustable Trigger Tech® Trigger mechanism.
The 416R steel barrel has a medium Palm profile, which, along with heavy Palm and MTU, is one of the most popular choices for long-range shooters. It's worth noting that the barrel and Match cartridge chamber are hand-lapped by Christensen Arms gunsmiths, which contributes to excellent accuracy and repeatability of shots. A stainless steel discharge brake is embedded on the 1/2 × 28 external thread, which effectively reduces recoil thanks to three large side baffles.
Ergonomics and functionality
The rifle is distinguished by its smooth and reliable mechanics, which are provided by a torsionally fluted lock, an enlarged shell ejection window, a steel breech chamber compatible with the Remington 700 mounting base, an M16-style ejector and a fluted reloading lever. The rifle has an integrated magazine with a capacity of 4 rounds. The rifle's breech has undergone nitriding, a thermo-chemical treatment that increases corrosion and wear resistance, improves fatigue resistance and hardens the steel.
Standard buckles allow the attachment of a carry belt or bipod, necessary for precision shooting.
