Fenix E09R LED flashlight

TheFenix E09R is a pocket-sized EDC flashlight in the form of a keychain, which emits a light output of 600 lumens, has 5 useful light modes, a range of up to 124 meters and a built-in rechargeable battery charged via a USB-C port.

Featherweight

The body of the Fenix E09R flashlight is made of aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, making the flashlight's barrel and head resistant to mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion. The compact size of the flashlight (79 mm), allows you to conveniently carry the flashlight in your pocket or attach it as a key ring. The milled surface of the aluminum improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand.

Stronger and farther

The light source is a powerful SST20 LED, which in burst mode emits a beam of 600 lumens with a brightness of 3970 candelas and a range of up to 124 meters. The light is evenly and widely dispersed thanks to an ultra-thin collimating lens.

Light beam division:

• spot 13° (concentrated),
• spill 81° (diffuse).

Operating modes

The user has 5 light modes at his disposal: moonlight, low, medium, high and burst 600 lumens. In the high mode of 300 lumens, the flashlight can operate for up to 90 minutes, in the "moon" mode of 3 lumens for up to 70 hours. Among the most useful modes for everyday use are the burst mode (full power 600 lumens) for short but intense illumination, and the moonlight mode. The gentle glow of 3 lumens is more than enough for reading, spotlighting a purse, toolbox or opening a door lock.
The flashlight uses an intelligent memory function, which, when the flashlight is turned on again, automatically selects the last mode used before it was turned off.

Built-in rechargeable battery

The flashlight uses an 800 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which we charge through a hidden USB-C port. The charging port is accessed only when the flashlight's body is pulled apart, so the port is duly protected from dirt and moisture. Unlike other flashlights with a USB port, the Fenix E09R can glow even while charging.

Metal switch with locking function

You activate the flashlight and change modes using the metal switch located on the side panel. Flashlight operation:

• A full push of the button turns the flashlight on and off,
• single touches allow you to change modes,
• double clicks activate a locking mechanism that prevents accidental activation of the flashlight while carrying it.

The minimalist interface makes the flashlight ideal for everyday use, where you usually just need quick access to light.

Security features

The flashlight uses a system that protects the electronic circuit from overheating. The diode in high mode generates a lot of heat, in order to reduce the temperature, the controller will automatically reduce the flux by a few lumens. The high protection class IP68 makes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (to a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt and falling.

The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. A Li-Po 800 mAh battery was used during testing.
