TheFenix E05R is a compact EDC flashlight in the form of a keychain, which emits a light output of 400 lumens, has 4 useful light modes, a range of up to 64 m and a built-in re chargeable battery charged via a micro-USB port.
Featherweight
The body of the Fenix E05R flashlight is made of aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, which makes the flashlight's tube and head resistant to mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion. The compact size of the flashlight (68 mm), allows you to conveniently carry the flashlight in your pocket or attach it as a key ring. The milled surface of the aluminum improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand.
Stronger and farther
The light source is a powerful Cree XP-G2 S3 LED , which in burst mode emits 400 lumens with a brightness of 1046 candelas and a range of up to 64 meters. The light is evenly and widely dispersed thanks to an ultra-thin collimating lens.

- spill 95° (diffuse).
Operating modes
The user has 4 light modes at his disposal: low, medium, high and burst 600 lumens. In the high mode of 150 lumens the flashlight can operate for up to 55 minutes, in the low mode of 3 lumens for up to 30 hours. Among the most useful modes for everyday use are the burst mode (full power 400 lumens) for short but intense illumination, and the low mode (moonlight). A gentle glow of 3 lumens is more than enough for reading, spotlighting a purse, toolbox or opening a door lock.
Built-in rechargeable battery
The flashlight uses a 340 mAh lithium-polymer rechargeable battery, which we charge through a hidden micro-USB port. The charging port is accessed only after the flashlight body is pulled apart, so the port is duly protected from dirt and moisture. During charging, the LED indicator glows red, after charging it turns green.Charging time is about 1 hour (from exhaustion to full charge)
Metal switch with locking function
Activate the flashlight and change modes using the metal switch located on the side panel. Flashlight operation:
- A full push of the button turns the flashlight on and off,
- single touches allow you to change modes,
- double clicks activate a locking mechanism that prevents accidental activation of the flashlight while carrying it.
The minimalist interface makes the flashlight ideal for everyday use, where you usually just need quick access to light.
Security features
The flashlight uses a system that protects the electronic circuit from overheating. The diode in high mode generates a lot of heat, in order to reduce the temperature, the controller will automatically reduce the flux by a few lumens. The high protection class IP68 makes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (to a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt and falling.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. A 340 mAh Li-Po battery was used during testing.
