TheChiappa Rhino 40DS cal. 357 Mag is a unique revolver designed by Antonio Cudazzo and Emilio Ghisoni, who previously became famous by creating the Mateba line of revolvers. Version with a 4" barrel.
Every shooter's dream - the Chiappa Rhino
Rhino is a revolver created a weapon for self-defense and concealed carry. The most distinctive feature of the revolver is the extremely low barrel axis, which makes the Chiappa Rhino shoot from the lower barrel chamber, unlike traditional revolvers. This rare solution has already been successfully used in Mateba Unica revolvers and the Russian OC-38. The advantage of such a design is a drastically reduced barrel toss, quick return to the target, increased shooting comfort, as well as a more natural aiming point. The frame and barrel guard are made of aluminum alloy, making the Rhino lightweight and comfortable to carry.
Flat barrel
The compact design of the trigger mechanism made it possible to reduce the dimensions of the frame, making the revolver shorter compared to other revolvers with a similar barrel length. An element that distinguishes the revolver is also the barrel, which is shaped like a rounded hexagonal prism. This causes the sides of the revolver to be flat in the manner of a pistol, which allows the weapon to be carried comfortably and discreetly close to the body. Thanks to this design, the outline of the revolver visible under clothing does not evoke associations with firearms. The revolver's grip has a mild profile, a high-cut spur and textured side walls responsible for a comfortable and secure grip.
